Bernice Farmer, a 76-year-old lady, has been arrested in connection to a capturing in Ogden on Oct. 21, in response to the Riley County Police Division.
“Our communications heart obtained a name round 9:15 Friday evening from a 76-year-old lady who stated she had shot her husband,” Aaron Wintermote, Riley County Public Info Officer, stated. “Our officers arrived on scene. The home was within the 600 block of South Elm Avenue in Ogden. They discovered her husband, a 75-year-old man, who had a gunshot wound to his head. [Farmer] was cooperative with officers your entire time they had been on scene.”
Wintermote stated the situation of Farmer’s husband is unknown.
“He was responsive and acutely aware on scene when officers responded, however he was later life-flighted to Stormont Vail in Topeka for additional therapy,” Wintermote stated.
Wintermote stated Farmer was taken into custody by Riley County Police.
“Bernice Farmer was … arrested proper earlier than 1 a.m early Saturday morning for tried second-degree homicide. She was issued a bond of $100,000,” Wintermote stated.
